The peer instructors are veteran GLLC'ers who serve as facilitators for Q199, the one-credit course required of all students new to the GLLC. Besides leading ďQĒ, they are a great source of information about the GLLC, campus, and Bloomington.

Hello! My name is Megan Diekhoff and I am really excited to be a peer instructor again this year! I grew up in Holland, Indiana working at my familyís ice cream shop, the Windmill Chill. I am studying Speech-Language Pathology and Spanish. I have traveled to Belize and I would like to study abroad in Lima, Perķ next year. I am also taking American Sign Language (ASL), so if you are looking for someone to talk (or sign) with I would love to converse with you! Outside of the Global LLC I am the President of the National Student Speech, Language and Hearing Association at Indiana University, and in my free time I like to hike and canoe. My hope is that all of you will love living here as much as I do, and I canít wait to get to know you. Welcome to our community!

Hey everyone! My name is Mercedes Farias and I'm a senior from Valparaiso, Indiana. I am triple majoring in Political Science, International Studies (Human Rights & International Law), and East Asian Languages and Cultures (Japanese) and minoring in Spanish and History. I love to travel and studied abroad in Cuba during the summer of my freshman year and just got back from studying abroad in Japan for the Spring 2017 semester. I won't be in America for long, because I plan on applying for the JET program and teaching English in Japan after I graduate. I am passionate about all things political and love reading, video games, anime/cartoons, and music. I can't wait to meet you all in the fall!

My biggest areas of interest are education and children and youth of the Middle East, but I also enjoy writing poetry!

Hi there! My name is Zoie Hancock and Iím so excited to be a peer instructor this year! Iím originally from Elwood, Indiana but I graduated from a boarding school in Muncie, Indiana. Iím a double major in English and Korean Language and Culture and I am also pursuing a certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and a minor in Music. My native language is English, but I also speak Korean and Spanish. I spent this past summer studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea at Yonsei University practicing my Korean and learning more about the culture. When Iím not studying or working, you can usually find me reading a book, playing the flute, or practicing taekwondo. I canít wait to see you in class!

My name is Macey Halgren and I am a Sophomore majoring in International Studies with a regional concentration in Western Europe and a thematic concentration in Global Health and Environment. I am also minoring in History. I have an intermediate level proficiency in German, but I still have a long way to go! I am originally from a very tiny town in Southwestern Michigan named Edwardsburg, but my family recently moved over the border to Granger, IN. Hello everyone, Iím Chloe McCracken. Iím from a small town in south-east Indiana. Iím currently a sophomore, I am majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Second Language Studies. I am also working on a management certificate with the Liberal Arts and Management Program. One of my interests is learning different languages and so currently I am learning Korean and Spanish. Iím excited to be a part of the first year of the Global LLC and to see what it becomes.
