Huma Rife

Huma Rife

Student Services Administrator

Huma was born in Pakistan and immigrated with her family to Canada, and then the United States. She spent most of her career in accounting and finance, working for large corporations, including Texaco, Dow Jones & Co., Simon & Schuster, and Harlequin. After putting her career on hold to raise her family, she returned to it with the purchase of an independent publishing company. She led and managed her business for five years then sold it. In her spare time, Huma enjoys cooking, entertaining, and listening to podcasts.

She credits her love of travel to her parents, who instilled in her the value of exploring countries, cultures, and cuisines from a very young age. Today, she and her husband try to pass on the joys of being global citizens to their three children. Together, they have explored thirteen countries on four continents.
